Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") describes prohibited uses of the Sonoma service. By using the Service, you agree to this AUP. Violation may result in suspension or termination of your account.

Your responsibility

You are responsible for the use of the Service under your account, including the actions you authorize AI Employees to take and the content you provide. You are responsible for ad spend, payment commitments to influencers, emails sent to your audience, and any other action executed through the Service.

The Service includes approval gates for actions involving spending, public communication, or commitments to third parties. You are expected to review and approve such actions thoughtfully. Approving an action confirms you have reviewed it.

Prohibited content

You may not use the Service to create, store, transmit, or distribute content that:

  • Violates intellectual property rights of others
  • Infringes trademarks, copyrights, or rights of publicity
  • Is defamatory, harassing, threatening, or abusive
  • Contains malware, exploits, or other harmful code
  • Depicts or promotes child sexual abuse material; we report this to authorities immediately
  • Is sexually explicit, violent, or otherwise inappropriate for the platforms you connect
  • Promotes hate, discrimination, or violence against protected groups
  • Is misleading, deceptive, or fraudulent
  • Violates the terms of any platform you connect through the Service

Prohibited uses

You may not:

  • Use the Service to send spam or unsolicited bulk communications
  • Misrepresent yourself, your business, or your affiliations
  • Use the Service for any illegal purpose, including circumventing sanctions or export controls
  • Run advertising or campaigns for illegal goods, services, or activities in your jurisdiction
  • Engage in deceptive influencer practices, including fake reviews, undisclosed paid partnerships, or buying engagement
  • Process payments or solicit funds in ways that violate Lemon Squeezy's policies or applicable financial regulations
  • Connect the Service to platforms or accounts you do not own or are not authorized to manage
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the underlying systems of the Service
  • Scrape, crawl, or use automated means to extract data from the Service beyond what the Service interface provides
  • Resell, sublicense, or white-label the Service without written permission
  • Use the Service to compete with Sonoma by training or building a similar product
  • Bypass approval gates, rate limits, or other safety controls
  • Use the Service to harm minors in any way
  • Sell or advertise goods in categories prohibited by Lemon Squeezy's Acceptable Use Policy, including but not limited to gambling, adult content, regulated pharmaceuticals, weapons, or other restricted categories

Platform-specific compliance

When you connect a third-party platform, you agree to comply with that platform's terms. Examples:

  • Shopify: comply with Shopify Partner and Merchant terms, including data use restrictions
  • Instagram and TikTok: comply with their community guidelines and platform policies; do not use the Service for engagement manipulation, fake follower acquisition, or content that violates their rules
  • Meta Ads: comply with Meta's advertising policies, including restricted categories
  • Klaviyo and email platforms: comply with anti-spam laws (CAN-SPAM, CASL, GDPR) and platform requirements; only email recipients who have given you permission
  • Influencer outreach: comply with FTC guidelines on disclosure of paid partnerships and applicable consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction

AI output disclaimer

AI Employees generate content using machine learning models. Output may include inaccuracies, fabrications, or content that does not match your brand or factual record. You are responsible for reviewing AI output before using it publicly. Sonoma is not liable for content you publish, send, or commit to that was generated or assisted by AI.

Reporting violations

If you become aware of a violation of this AUP or any unlawful use of the Service, report it to info@sonoma-system.com.

Enforcement

We may investigate suspected violations and take action including warning, suspending, or terminating accounts. We may remove content that violates this AUP. In serious cases, we may report violations to law enforcement.

We reserve the right to update this AUP from time to time. Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance.
